Frontier (“the app”, “we”) is a technology-news reader operated by Thomas De Stefano. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal: we do not sell your data, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Data we collect
Account — when you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or Apple’s private relay address) and, if you share it, your name. If you use the app as a guest, we generate an anonymous device identifier instead.
Usage & preferences — the topics you follow, articles you bookmark, and reading history, used only to personalize your feed and sync it across your sessions.
Subscription status — whether you hold an active Frontier Premium subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card or payment details.
Notifications — if you enable push notifications, a device push token so we can send new-article alerts.
Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) kept briefly for security and reliability.
How we use it
Exclusively to operate the app: authenticate you, personalize and sync your feed, deliver notifications you opted into, manage your subscription, and keep the service secure. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Service providers
Apple — Sign in with Apple and subscription payments.
RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements (receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase status).
Hosting — our servers, located in the EU, store the data above.

Articles in Frontier are summaries and original write-ups generated with AI from publicly available sources, each linking back to its source. They are provided for information only.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). You may also contact us to access or erase your data. Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
Data retention & children
We keep your data while your account exists, then delete it. Frontier is not directed at children under 13.
